I’ve been thinking, the arms that used to hold me tight Now hang down by your side Sunday morning As you close the door without a word, What are you trying to hide? I’ve had enough of all the lies Now I can see it in you eyes Don’t tell me, tell me it’s all over now Cos I already know You look right through me and your thoughts are oh so far away You never let me in And oh so quiet and when you talk you mumble empty words That don’t mean a thing Maybe I’ve done something wrong Cos you’ve been distant for so long Don’t tell me, tell me it’s all over now Cos I already know Don’t tell me, love has lost it’s way somehow Cos I already know Don’t tell me, tell me it’s all over now Cos I already know Don’t tell me love has lost it’s way somehow Cos I already know © Lisa Redford

He ain’t nobody special He ain’t noone you’d know He ain’t even around here now Playing his one man show But I just can’t forget him No matter how hard I try They say that time is a healer but It passes slowly by Passes slowly by He’s just the boy who broke my heart Just the one who tore it apart Just the one I thought I’d be loving for life He’s the just the boy I see at night When I lay down and close my eyes Just the boy who broke my Boy who broke my heart Every night is the same dream And I can still see his face Lost in the eyes that were searching mine A love I can’t replace It’s a love I can’t replace He’s just the boy who broke my heart Just the one who tore it apart Just the one I thought I’d be loving for life He’s the just the boy I see at night When I lay down and close my eyes Just the boy who broke my Boy who broke my heart Wake up every morning to the sound of his voice oh And though I’ll never see him again, it’s like I have no choice He’s just the boy who broke my heart Just the one who tore it apart Just the one I thought I’d be loving for life He’s the just the one I see every night When I lay down and close my eyes Just the boy who broke my Boy who broke my heart Oh oh oh oh He ain’t nobody special He ain’t noone you’d know He ain’t even around here now Playing his one man show © Lisa Redford

Yeah ok, I will act like we never met Yeah ok, I will try hard to forget Yeah ok, we don’t have to talk about it now Yeah ok, cos I’ll be moving on somehow Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a smile upon your face Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a heart that had to break Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a price we had to pay Like there never was Like there never was Like there never was a yesterday Yeah ok, I will act like you never cared Yeah ok, there were dreams that we never shared Yeah ok, I just find it hard to let it go But ok cos I guess that you’ll never know Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a smile upon your face Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a heart that had to break Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a price we had to pay Like there never was Something real, something true That felt so right I guess all the time, I’d been living life Like there never was Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye Oh Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a smile upon your face Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a heart that had to break Like there never was a yesterday Like there never was a price we had to pay Like there never was a yesterday… © Lisa Redford

Love You Anyway Caught in a moment Frozen in time And I don’t remember How we said goodbye And I know you’re leaving It’s hurting inside So much unspoken Feelings I hide So if you think that there is something here Let’s not throw it away There’s just so much I want to say And even though it’s not the right time I’m still going out of my mind And though I know I can’t make you stay I love you anyway If I never met you Would I be the same There’s just something about you It won’t go away So if you think that there is something here Let’s not throw it away There’s just so much I need to say And even though it’s not the right time I’m still going out of my mind And though I know I can’t make you stay I love you anyway There’s just so much that we could do Not gonna stop thinking of you Just let me know And even though it’s not the right time I’m still going out of my mind And though I know I can’t make you stay I love you anyway... © Lisa Redford

about

Gifted singer/songwriter Lisa Redford (“one of our finest singer/songwriters” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2) releases her first live album Lisa Redford Live. Captivating a packed audience with just her stunning voice and skilled acoustic guitar playing, the 14 original songs are from a special homecoming show at Norwich Arts Centre. The concert was part of her solo Clouds with Silver UK headline tour which also included a second live session and interview on the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Bob Harris show.

Lisa takes the listener on a warm and intimate musical journey, combining material from her three albums and brand new songs, the melodic and instantly hooky 'Music and the Mountains' and 'Love Won't Let Me Go'. Highlights include the yearning ‘The Boy Who…’ and the breezy Americana pop of second album title track ‘Lost Again’. From debut album Slipstream there are the beautiful ballads ‘Don’t Tell Me’ and ‘Red Eyes’ and from latest album ‘Clouds with Silver’ the dreamy ‘Call Me’, the nostalgic country pop of ‘Never Was a Yesterday’ and the US favourite ‘Live Your Life’. The album closes with a stunning acapella version of the touching ballad 'Be Around'.

"Live, her voice really has immense power yet great control too and reminds me of the same heart worn tender vibrato of a young Emmylou Harris. Lisa's voice is purer with a warm timbre, but has that same raw emotion in her voice that makes you feel she has lived through all the heartbreak she sings and writes about."
