Take my hand, don’t let it go In your eyes, all I need to know I just don’t understand what made you change your mind I hold you close, feel you pull away Under a spell, too hard to break I wish I had the strength to say goodbye this time And I know that I’ve been here before Always left wanting more Loving you, is anything but easy Loving you..ooh ooh Loving you, is anything but easy And I know, I know that it’s so hard - to let go All the plans I thought we’d made Still inside, the words I meant to say I’ll never know how you could let this slip away Whatever made you have a change of heart Was so good at the start Loving you, is anything but easy Loving you..ooh ooh Loving you, is anything but easy And I know, I know that it’s so hard - to let go I never thought that I would feel this strong, was I so wrong to fall? How something oh so good could hurt so bad, we could’ve had it all Loving you, is anything but easy Loving you..ooh ooh Loving you, is anything but easy And I know, I know that it’s so hard And I know, I know that it’s so hard to let go Let go Let go Let go

I want to believe that this is real How do I confront all I fear? Unable to help the way I feel When I know that you are near But I don’t know how I should be Never showing all sides of me All my ghosts of the past are all I see Feels so strong And now I’m on - The Edge of Love The Edge of love Been safer to keep my self control Now it’s my fragile heart you hold Always afraid to give my all This time I let myself fall But I don’t know how I should be Never showing all sides of me The hold of the past won’t set me free Been so long And now I’m on - The Edge of Love The Edge of love I hesitate to let you in But I love the warmth of skin on skin I’m not sure how this will end But I know I’m letting go The Edge of Love The Edge of Love The Edge of Love The Edge of Love Words and music Lisa Redford

Let Go 03:26
Getting late - wanna call you So much to say, I’ve missed you But I know it’s too late Gotta let go, let go All alone - Such a shame But I know, I know You did me wrong Now I’m moving on - without you Wasting time Wondering why - just won’t do Now I know It’s too late - gotta let go Was it a mistake - to want you? Thought it was my fate - to love you But I know it’s too late Gotta let go, let go Now I’ve grown - Such a shame But I know, I know You did me wrong Now I’m moving on - without you Wasting time Wondering why - just won’t do Now I know It’s too late - gotta let go, let go Now I’ve now It’s too late - gotta let go You always played a part While my heart was true Something I’d always known You almost broke me But time has told me I’m stronger on my own You did me wrong Now I’m moving on - without you Wasting time Wondering why it won’t do Now I know It’s too late - gotta let go, let go And I’ve grown. It’s too late - gotta let go, let go Time has got me thinking That too long you’ve been bringing me down All this time for thinking Now that you’re not hanging around Now I know. That it’s time - to let g

I’ve been holding onto memories, so tightly I won’t let them go Words and pictures they surround me and I’m lying here alone Thinking of the tender moments ever since the night we met All the times you won’t remember, I just can’t forget I’ve been staring out the window Watching time pass me by See the blackbird in the oak tree Makes me wish I could fly Leaving all the pain behind me And the hurtful things you said All those words you won’t remember, I just can't forget Guess you don’t recall The meaning of it all and what we used to feel Now it seems to me, you will always be With me all the time ooh ooh ooh ooh I’ve been going to the places, that we walked all of the time Though for you they’re growing distant They stay closer in my mind But I hope you will be happy Moving on without regret All those times you won’t remember I just can’t forget All the things you won’t remember I just can’t forget Words and music Lisa Redford

You don’t want to be alone tonight You remembered how it felt so right - so do I So many times I wished you’d call again Now you’re here, don’t want this night to end - you know why I don’t want to be alone A sweeter love I’ve never known Though we’re not meant to be We don’t want to feel - alone tonight It’s been so long since you were close to me Feels the same, the way it used to be - before a change But in my mind you would still feel the same When you leave I won’t stand in your way - hurt again Sometimes I let myself believe You’ve been also missing me Know we’re not meant to be We don’t want to feel - alone tonight All the lines I rehearse Still I ended up getting hurt Know that I should really walk away Tired of all the games you’ve played - again and again We don’t want to feel alone A sweeter love I’ve never known Though we’re not meant to be We don’t want to be Know we’re not meant to be We don’t want to feel - alone tonight Ooh ooh ooh Words and music Lisa Redford

about

Acclaimed singer songwriter Lisa Redford releases her brand new EP “Edge of Love” on 10th May following the release of its first single - the radio-friendly “Anything But Easy” - which has gained airplay on many radio stations including various BBC shows, Chris Country and received rave reviews.

“Edge of Love” was produced by José McGill from award-winning group The Vagaband and the five self-written songs feature beautiful arrangements and instrumentation performed by a host of the finest musicians; pedal steel player Alan Cook (My Darling Clementine, Chris Hillman of The Byrds), Noel Dashwood of folk trio Alden, Patterson and Dashwood, guitarist Mark Howes - nominated in the British Blues Awards - and award-winning cellist Ivan McCready (The Pretenders, Blur, John Cale, George Michael) with drums and mastering by Mikey Shaw at The Crunch - Recording Studio, near Norwich.

“Edge of Love” opens with the instantly memorable and melodic single. The heartfelt title track, with its haunting cello and piano, follows. “Let Go” is an infectious Americana tinged band track. The moving “I Just Can’t Forget” showcases a country soul influence, while the delicate bittersweet acoustic ballad “Alone Tonight”, with its subtle sonic layers and textures, closes the EP.

The release blends Lisa’s folk, Americana and country influences with a strong melodic pop sensibility. “I always write from the heart and these songs are no exception. I’m drawn to songs that have a sadness lyrically but the music is melodious. The combination of the two makes it feel bittersweet.” says Lisa. “I’m so proud of the new songs from “Edge of Love” and can’t wait to share them.”
